Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse)

Lisdexamfetamine is a stimulant medication for ADHD marketed as Vyvanse. It is a prodrug — it must be metabolized by the body to release active amphetamine, which produces a more gradual onset of action and a lower potential for misuse compared with immediate-release amphetamines.

It has a longer duration of action than immediate-release methylphenidate (12–14 hours), which makes it well suited to people who need coverage throughout the whole day. It's often chosen when methylphenidate hasn't been effective or has caused unacceptable side effects.
